Amazing support for the little hall - at the big hall!

Last Friday's night of Jazz music and Salsa dancing was extremely well supported by all. The Queen Street Community Hall, Yeppoon, is immensley grateful and would like to thank the following for contributing to the success of the night: Cleon's Three Chukale Andy and Dee Vujovich Seth Lewis INDABA Ross James Molly Saunders The Pacific Hotel Coastal Signs and Graphics Brian George All the wonderful bar and ticket sales volunteers The QSH community kitchen team Keppel Coast Arts Radio 4NAG The Capricorn Coast Mirror Livingstone Shire Council and most importantly the 300+ local community members who came out on a Friday and painted the Yeppoon Town Hall [orange, blue] and red!!

EL GITANO RETURNS…

Cutting massive inroads into the Melbourne music scene, former Yeppoon local, Seth Lewis, returns home for a special, one night only performance! EL GITANO joins the October 23 Afro-Cuban double header Yeppoon tour date. He will be playing in-between sets of the two touring groups – Chukale and Cleon’s Three - and the Cap Coast’s own INDABA. Seth will be singing sweet Spanish folk and originals paired with shuffling Latin guitar rhythms in the foyer. So be sure to refresh yourself at the bar, help raise funds for the Queen Street Community Hall, and let Seth Lewis take you around the world with his smooth Latin sounds! Here is the Yeppoon Poster for the Afro- Cuban Double Header Tour! Come and dance the night away at Yeppoon Town Hall, and be served Latin inspired food and drinks by the friendly volunteers of the Queen Street Community Hall. This is a Queen Street Community Hall fundraising initiative - "Support the little hall at the big hall"! The night's program of sensational music includes: Internationally renowned 8 piece Afro-Cuban Salsa ensemble 'CHUKALE', Brisbane Latin-jazz trio 'CLEON'S THREE' and local Jazz fusion quintet ‘INDABA’. Free Salsa Class for couples with tickets to the Afro-Cuban Music night!!!

Queen Street Community Hall volunteers and KCA are proud to be a part of the upcoming night of Afro-Cuban Jazz and Salsa happening at Yeppoon Town Hall on Friday October 23! We are excited to announce that there will be a free salsa class for ticket holders, the week before! To be eligible purchase your tickets (either online at the KCA website or in person at the Yellow Door Bookshop) soon! Preserving our heritage - Exterior painting begins!

After a few setbacks (including a cyclone!) we are very excited that our 'Everyone's Environment' grant from DEHP is starting to coming to fruition. QSH volunteers worked tirelessly to encapsulate the building, so that painting of the exterior of the hall could commence today! Thanks to all those who lent a hand :) )
