LSC supports Arts & Culture at Community Hall

Thanks to Livingstone Shire Council for their financial support of the Piano Masterclass Workshop and night of Rhythm and Blues at the Queen Street Community Hall on 27 May 2017. The extremely successful event included two high quality local acts -Damian Clarke and Blues Train - as well as the headline, interstate musicians, Doc Halibut. LSC's support of the event contributed to the great success of this Community Hall fundraiser. The Hall committee is excited to see our vision of an outdoor community space coming together through various grants, working bees and the tireless work of volunteers. Everything is coming together nicely for this evening's night of Rhythm and Blues. Thanks to to generous support of all our community volunteers, it is sure to be a great night! Gates open at 6PM Delicious Mexican Feast for dinner too. Burritos or Nachos with your choice of: - Smoky black beans - Slow cooked pulled beef - or a Combo of both Served with cheese, sour cream, guacamole, fresh corn and tomato salsa, and hot stuff!! PIANO MASTERCLASS AT QUEEN STREET COMMUNITY HALL

Cap Coast aspiring pianists are invited to a special, one-off “Contemporary Piano Workshop” with accomplished musician and educator James Ferguson, on Saturday 27th of May at the Queen Street Community Hall, Yeppoon. The session, which starts at 2PM, will be a 90 minute hands-on, interactive and fun workshop, exploring aspects of contemporary piano/keyboard playing such as: improvising with scales and modes, left hand voicings and tools for composition. Based in Melbourne, James Ferguson teaches piano and voice at St Joseph's College and provides private and Skype tuition to students all over Australia. James is completing a Master of Music at Melbourne Uni and performs regularly with a vari
