Bondi Cigars Bio:

The Bondi Cigars have been a staple of the Oz music circuit for almost 30 years. The Cigars are the model of a 'no passengers' band - a well-oiled machine- plus soul! They have kept their music tight, hard-driving and down to earth: the Australian bar band par excellence.

Apart from the timeless, unpretentious nature of their music, an obvious reason for the longevity of the Cigars is the ongoing musical team work of 2 foundation members, Shane Pacey and Al Britton, who continue to co-lead the band. Front man Shane Pacey has long been a forceful blues vocalist and a hard-attacking, razor sharp guitarist in the modern blowtorch style of Albert Collins, Joe Louis Walker, Larry McCray and other crazy string benders; he’s also an outstanding prolific songwriter, and there’s ample evidence in their tracks of his sardonic, savvy and slightly warped way with lyrics.

The Cigars have consistently delivered the goods; with a string of awards including nominations at the ARIA awards for Best Blues & Roots Album and two of their songs chosen to feature on the popular ABC Seachange album. While many other bands of their vintage have vanished, become historical footnotes or undergone major changes, the Cigars - true survivors - have battled on, without ever compromising their distinctive no nonsense style, to become a leading force in Australian R&B.

The Mason Rack Band Bio:

Hailing from the Gold Coast, Qld Australia, The Mason Rack Band are blues rock legends; having played more than 2500 shows all over Australia and toured internationally to Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Vanuatu & Japan. Mason Rack is a born entertainer, having developed a natural rhythm that is now part of his soul and way of life. Mason picked up a guitar in his early years and mastered the genre of blues rock which is his true passion. Rounding out the trio are 'freak' bassist Jamie Roberts and 'machine' drummer Jules Keshan. The band's stage performance is an experience in itself. Expect extended percussive breakdowns with beer kegs and swampy showmanship. The raspy vocals of lead front man Mason Rack have been described by fans as one on the "sexiest voices in the blues music scene" with flashes from Tom Waits and Led Zeppelin.

Alley Katz Bio:

Cap Coast dudes keeping the Blues alive! Alley Katz cover the classic styles from Delta to Chicago through to Texas blues.

West Pacific Bio:

Blues rock with a reggae twist. Music and words with new energy and direction.
